Sale proceeds to help youth pastor

Valley Bible Church will hold a rummage sale next Saturday to raise money for youth pastor Patrick McConnell and his wife Jennifer.

The McConnells are adopting three boys from Africa and need help covering adoption expenses. The seven-hour sale begins at 8 a.m. at Valley Bible Church, 3021 S. Sullivan Road.

Annual yard sale will be June 9

Make plans for the 14th annual Liberty Lake Yard Sale from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 9.

Fundraiser for school Friday

The Liberty Lake Elementary PTSA is holding a community dinner, dance and auction for all adults Friday at the Mirabeau Park Hotel.

The event will include a Hawaiian-themed buffet dinner, dancing to the beat of the The Rhythm Method and silent and live auctions benefiting the technology needs of Liberty Lake Elementary.

The event begins at 6 p.m. and is open to the public. Tickets are $40 each.

Golf event to aid Meals on Wheels

Registration is under way for a Spokane Valley Meals on Wheels golf fundraiser.

Fresh goods at farmers’ market

The popular Liberty Lake Farmers’ Market opens next Saturday and continues through the last weekend of September. Hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The market is in the Liberty Square parking lot, 1421 N. MeadowWood Lane.

Chamber marks 86 years

The Greater Spokane Chamber of Commerce is celebrating its 86th anniversary with a celebration May 31 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Mirabeau Park Hotel.

Cost is $10 in advance. Hors d’oeuvres and cake will be served and a no-host bar will be available. RSVP by calling 924-4994.
