The digital floodgates certainly haven’t overwhelmed us with torrents of hard-hitting news and public affairs programs.

But that’s changing bit by bit. A wonderful, albeit large-sized weekly video podcast, is Mosaic: World News from the Middle East.

This weekly video podcast is a collection of news stories taken from newscasts produced by TV stations that serve the Middle East. All are translated into English.

Segments run about 30 minutes. Since they’re full video with audio productions, each episode is large and takes a fast broadband connection to download.

The podcasts are actually just the compressed video version of regular TV shows produced by Link TV. Link TV, a nonprofit TV programmer, has developed a roster of informative shows that are carried on many cable and satellite services around the world.
