581,000 people were of Hispanic or Latino origin, up from 441,000 in 2000.

422,000 were of Asian descent, up from 330,000.

227,000 were black, up from 199,000.

104,000 were American Indians and Alaska Natives, up from 96,000.

29,000 were Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islanders, up from 25,000.
