Curves, YMCA collect books for literacy

By The Spokesman-Review

Local Curves Fitness Centers and the YMCA of the Inland Northwest have paired up for Fit to Read!, a book drive to benefit Page Ahead, a local children’s literacy program.

Through the end of this month, children’s books may be donated at the downtown YMCA (507 N. Howard St.) or local Curves locations (1104 W. Wellesley Ave., 1908 W. Sunset Blvd., 410 E. Holland Ave.).

The goal is to collect 200 books.

Page Ahead works with businesses, school groups and community organizations to collect new books to be distributed to children in need in the Inland Northwest.

For more information, call (509) 789-3548 or visit www.pageahead.org.
