Hints from Heloise

The Spokesman-Review

Dear Readers: I work in the student services office of a major university. We handle important documents in our students’ files. I am amazed at the illegible handwriting from young and older adults. Very pertinent information, such as their name, Social Security number, phone number, etc., are often illegible, and we are at a loss as to how to contact them if we can’t identify the student or don’t have a legible phone number or address to reach them! – A Pennsylvania reader, via letter

How “write” – oops, I mean “right” – you are! Folks, if you are filling out a form, it behooves you to write or print important contact information. Heloise

Dear Readers: If you need to spruce up a dried-flower arrangement, simply take it outside, turn it upside down and give it a good shake. You can also gently dust it with a clean paintbrush or makeup brush. Heloise
