‘Dialogue’ to discuss Moscow shootings

From Staff Reports The Spokesman-Review

In the wake of last weekend’s shootings in Moscow, tonight’s “Dialogue” news show on Idaho Public TV will focus on timely topics: mental health and public safety.

“The shootings raise questions about the accessibility of mental health treatment in Idaho, access to guns for the mentally ill and laws regarding civil commitment,” IdahoPTV said in a Wednesday press statement.

Host Marcia Franklin will be joined by Judge John Bradbury, supervisor of the Clearwater County mental health courts; Dr. Arnold Kadrmas, medical director of the mental health center at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Lewiston; and professor Michael Blankenship of the Department of Criminal Justice at Boise State University. During tonight’s live broadcast at 7:30 p.m., Franklin and the experts will take calls from viewers at (800) 973-9800. The show will air again at 4:30 p.m. Sunday.
