Auditions

“The Last Five Years” – Spokane Civic Theatre, Monday and Tuesday, 6:30 p.m. at the theater, 1020 N. Howard. Auditioners must perform a verse and chorus from a contemporary Broadway musical in addition to cold readings from the script. Needed: one male and one female to appear ages 28-32. The Holiday Artists’ Shop – Create Place is looking for artists and artisans to participate in the annual sale that runs Nov. 30 to Dec. 22. Application deadline is Nov. 14. Call (509) 447-9277 or (208) 437-0791.

Spokane Ag Expo Photography Contest – Photographers are invited to submit photos depicting “Agriculture in the Inland Northwest.” The photos will be displayed at the Spokane Ag Expo set for Feb. 5-7. Photographers may submit color or black-and-white prints between 8-by-10 and 11-by-14 inches. Photographs should not be framed but may be mounted on cardboard or matting. The limit is four entries per contestant. The deadline is Nov. 16. Entry forms are available at www.agshow.org or by calling (509) 459-4114.

Colfax Arts Council – Artists are needed for a juried competition to select 10 original paintings to be hung in Colfax as lamppost banners. Artists must submit a 7 ½- by 15-inch painting or a design on 11- by 17-inch paper or other medium by Nov. 15. The fee is $10 for youth and $15 for adults 19 and older.
