7 women charged with Craigslist soliciting
LYNNWOOD, Wash. – Seven women who police say were selling sex through Craigslist were arrested in a sting operation set up in response to complaints from Snohomish County hotel owners who say they are tired of their rooms being used for the sex trade.
Police answered online ads posted by women seeking men through the erotic section of the free online classifieds, said Shannon Sessions, Lynnwood police spokeswoman.
Local police agencies were joined in the investigation by Immigration and Customs Enforcement, FBI and U.S. Navy police.
The women, who range in age from 19 to 37 and are all residents of Snohomish County, were cited for solicitation.
