Suspect did not post bond

Norman L. Roberts, facing trial this week for the shooting death of Kenneth G. Conklin Jr. and the wounding of Thomas L. Darco Jr. last March, is in the Spokane County Jail. Although court papers were drawn up in March for his release on $250,000 bond pending trial, Roberts did not post bond. Because of a reporter’s error, a story Saturday said Roberts was free on bond.

Name misspelled

Dane Ueland’s name was misspelled in a headline in Friday’s 7 section because of a copy editor’s error.
