Balanced Vandals rout Walla Walla

Trevor Morris led five players in double figures with 22 points and the Idaho men’s basketball team routed Walla Walla 96-45 in an exhibition game at Memorial Gym Tuesday in Moscow, Idaho.

Michael Crowell added 16 points and Jordan Brooks chipped in 14 points on 6-of-6 shooting for the Vandals.

Darin Nagle contributed 13 points and Mike Hall added 12 points on 4-of-7 shooting from beyond the arc for Idaho, which made 13 of its 24 3-point attempts.

•David Johnson had a game-high 21 points and Steve Wesley added 15 points to guide North Idaho to a 104-58 non-conference win over Salish Kootenai College in Coeur d’Alene.

Kerry Williams and Kene Anusionwu each added 11 points for the Cardinals.

Women’s soccer

Six members of Eastern Washington University’s team earned All-Big Sky Conference honors.

Freshman goalkeeper Jessica Blessard, who posted two shutouts and 34 saves, was named the top newcomer.

Senior defender Cynita Mott and senior forward Cyeeta Mott were named to the first team.

Sophomore Chelsey Hannesson, senior Carrie Conners and junior Abby Jensen (Sandpoint High School) earned honorable mention.

Volleyball

Whitworth junior middle blocker Sarah Rusch was named to the All-Northwest Conference second team while senior libero Cassie Moore (Mead High School) earned honorable mention.

Football

Linebacker Lee Foliaki and safety Dennis Mitchell have been added to the Spokane Shock roster.

•Ferris High receiver Jared Karstetter will continue his career at Washington State.

Karstetter has 140 receptions for 1,464 yards during his career.
