Boy Scouts will hold food drive

The Spokesman-Review

Scouts from across Eastern Washington and North Idaho will be collecting food donations door to door Saturday to benefit Second Harvest’s emergency food network and community food banks.

In Spokane County, Scouts left specialty plastic bags on doorsteps Nov. 3. The scouts will return Saturday morning to collect the bags containing donated food. Supporters of the drive are asked to place donations containing nonperishable food items outside their front door by 9 a.m.

The annual Scouting for Food activity is sponsored by the Inland Northwest Council of the Boy Scouts of America and Rosauers Supermarkets. Those wishing to support the food drive and miss the Scouts collecting bags on Saturday are encouraged to drop off donations at any Rosauers Supermarket.
