The Spokane Humane Society and Dog Lovers Wine Club are teaming up for a toast and tails wine tasting event Nov. 17 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Yuppy Puppy shop, 9425 N. Newport Highway.

The event will include light hors d’oeuvres, and treats for dogs, which are also invited to attend if they are friendly and on a leash. The suggested donation for adults is $5. Dogs get in for free.

Guests can sign up for the wine club, which donates a part of its wine sales to the Humane Society or another dog welfare agency that is partnering with the wine club.

The Dog Lovers Wine Club is a boutique winery based in California which offers premium wines with pet labels to support shelters and rescue agencies around the country. Each wine shipment includes a story about dogs that have been rescued. The initial wine club purchase is $2.
