Annual auction planned by St. John Vianney school

St. John Vianney Catholic School will host its 21st annual school auction, “A World of Possibilities,” at Northern Quest Casino, 100 N. Hayford Road, on Saturday.

The event will begin at 4 p.m. and will include dinner, and silent and live auctions. To see items available in the auctions, visit stjohnvianney.maestroweb.com.

Tickets are $35 per person or $30 for senior citizens. Proceeds will benefit St. John Vianney Catholic School.

Winter Wear drive

Help those in need stay warm this winter by donating to the seventh annual Winter Wear Drive on Monday at the Homeless Resource Center, 520 S. Walnut St.

Beginning at noon, new and gently used hats, coats, gloves, boots and white socks will be collected until 4 p.m.

Donations will be distributed to the homeless community on Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Children’s Village luncheon

On Thursday, the Children’s Village will host its annual holiday luncheon and auction at the Hayden Lake Country Club, 1800 E. Bozanta Drive, Hayden Lake, Idaho.

The doors open at 10 a.m. and the luncheon will begin at noon.

Christmas gift baskets, shopping trips and golf accessories are among items included in the silent auction.

Tickets are $30 per person or $55 per couple. All proceeds benefit the Children’s Village.

Ferris All-Nighter benefit

Today through Thursday, holiday plants and decorations will be for sale to benefit Ferris High School’s Senior All-Nighter, an alcohol- and drug-free celebration.

The parents of the Class of 2008 are selling four-, six- and eight-inch poinsettias in red, white, pink, marble and “jingle-bell” colors.

Ferris horticulture students are designing 14-inch evergreen wreaths with decorations and a bow, holiday centerpieces and 9-foot cedar garland strands, which also are for sale.

Second Harvest benefit

Coeur d’Alene Honda, 2745 Seltice Way in Coeur d’Alene, will donate $500 to Second Harvest Food Bank each time the bed of the Honda Ridgeline truck on the showroom floor is filled with food from now until Thanksgiving.
