Post Falls Police announce promotions

From Staff Reports The Spokesman-Review

POST FALLS – The Post Falls Police Department announced last week two promotions to its administrative team. Sgt. Pat Knight has been promoted to lieutenant and will be the Investigation Division’s division commander, while Charlene Holbrook will be the communications manager for the Post Falls 911 Communications Centers in addition to overseeing the department’s records section.

The department expects to promote a sergeant within a month to fill Knight’s previous position, and will announce a “pinning ceremony” to celebrate these changes.

Knight started his law enforcement career with the department in 1994 and his assignments have included patrol, patrol sergeant and, most recently, administrative sergeant. He has been with SWAT team since its inception and served as team leader over the past several years, and is a graduate of the FBI Command College.

Holbrook came to the department in 2000 as an emergency communications officer. She was promoted to shift supervisor in 2002, then administrative shift supervisor in 2003 and was recently the management assistant. The department named Holbrook Employee of the Year in both 2003 and 2006.
