Thanksgiving services

“This year’s interfaith Thanksgiving service will be hosted by the Episcopal Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist at 10 a.m. Thursday. The service will include performances by the Pilgrim Slavic Baptist Church Men’s Choir and speakers from the Second Harvest food bank and the Healing Lodge of the Seven Nations. There will be blessings for several faiths, including Hindu, Buddhism, Judaism, Baptist, Catholic, Islam and Baha’i.

All are welcome to attend. The service is sponsored by the Interfaith Council of the Inland Northwest and Second Harvest. The Cathedral is at 127 E. 12th Ave.

“The Metaline Falls Congregational United Church of Christ will host its annual Thanksgiving service at 7 p.m. Wednesday. The church is at Fifth and Grandview in Metaline Falls, Wash. Call (509) 446-3301 for more information.

“St. David’s Episcopal Church, 7315 N. Wall St., will present a contemporary Celtic Eucharist at 7 p.m. on Wednesday. A reception will follow. Those attending are asked to bring a snacks or beverage to share. Call the church at (509) 466-3100 for more information.

Thanksgiving meal

The Center for Spiritual Living in Coeur d’Alene will offer a free Thanksgiving dinner noon to 2 p.m. Thursday at Lake City Senior Center, 1916 Lakewood Drive, Coeur d’Alene. The organization will be working with Meals on Wheels to deliver meals to those who are homebound and will offer transportation to those who need it. Auction

St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church will hold its annual auction fundraiser today from 3 to 6 p.m. at the church, 2404 N. Howard St. Admission is free, and refreshments will be served.

Community concert

The annual Community Classical Christmas Concert featuring the Community Holiday Choir and the Fort Sherman Symphonette will be at 7 p.m. next Saturday at the North Idaho College Schuler Performing Arts Center in Coeur d’alene. The concert will feature Handel’s “Messiah.” The performance is sponsored by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the Fort Sherman Historical Society.

Those interested in performing in the Community Holiday Choir are required to attend a rehearsal at 1:30 p.m. next Saturday at the Schuler Performing Arts Center. Call (208) 777-0545 for more information.
