May get traditional Rose Bowl
Ohio State-Michigan winner to Pasadena, just the way the Rose Bowl likes it
The winner of the Ohio State-Michigan game today will be the outright Big Ten champion and in all likelihood is headed to Pasadena, Calif., for the Granddaddy of Them All on Jan. 1.
That should give the Rose Bowl the traditional Big Ten-Pac-10 matchup it desires but has often relinquished since the Bowl Championship Series was implemented in 1998. Four times since then the Rose has had to live without Big Ten-Pac-10, twice when it hosted the national title game.
As for the Pac-10, either Oregon, Arizona State or USC look to be headed to Pasadena.
