Heather Bowman didn’t rest on her laurels.

The Gonzaga University sophomore from Lewis and Clark followed up an award-winning week with a double-double that led the Bulldogs to an 87-69 non-league women’s basketball victory over the Montana Grizzlies on Monday night in the McCarthey Athletic Center.

Bowman, who averaged 20 points and 10 rebounds as GU opened the season with two wins to be named West Coast Conference Player of the Week, followed it up with 25 points and 11 rebounds against the Grizzlies as the Zags improved to 3-0.

Jami Bjorklund added 17 points, hitting 7 of 9 shots from the field, and Courtney Vandersloot 11 for a Gonzaga team that hit 46.5 percent of its shots and had a 51-36 rebound advantage.

Mandy Morales and Sonya Rogers scored 17 apiece to lead Montana (1-2).
