Pet owners irresponsible

Regarding the recent Pomeranian madness (“Family dog at center of legal storm,” Nov. 9). Please people let this be a lesson. Have your pets licensed and microchipped.

If your pet is missing, check all three area animal shelters. Strays with no identification are held for 72 hours before being placed for adoption.

Responsible pet owners make an effort to find their lost loved ones. The previous owners of the dog in question are not victims as your story makes them out to be, they are irresponsible pet owners and there are too many of them out there.
