Religion notebook: Pasadena Park to present ‘Heaven’s Gift’

Pasadena Park Church of the Nazarene will host a dramatic presentation of the Christmas story combined with a gourmet dessert and appetizer buffet next Saturday. The evening, called “Heaven’s Gift,” will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the church, 8822 E. Upriver Drive. The event is for ages 16 and older.

Tickets are $5. Call the church office at 926-5858 for reservations or more information.

Anniversary celebration

The dinner to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the ordination of the Rev. David Droegemueller will begin at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Christ Lutheran Church, 13009 E. Broadway Ave. The meal of ham, beef and salads will be offered by the congregation. There also will be a program with speakers and presentations.

Those planning to attend are asked to make reservations by calling 924-9846.

Organ dedication

Zion Lutheran Church will dedicate its rebuilt organ during a special dedication service at 4 p.m. Sunday. The service will feature music by organist Jim Brown, the Chancel Choir and a brass ensemble.

The work on the organ began in 2006 and includes a computer driven virtual pipe organ system. All are invited to attend. The church is at 8304 E. Buckeye Ave.
