Choose the perfect wallpaper

Your computer wallpaper — that large image or picture that covers the desktop — is sort of like your digital bowtie or scarf. It says something about you; either you’re dashing and debonair, with a snazzy image of a sports car rounding a curve. Or you’re the contemplative outdoorsy type, with a beautiful picture of the Grand Canyon or the windswept Oregon dunes.

But then you need to replenish that wallpaper. A good place to find choices is the wallpapers group on popular photo site Flickr.

Lately we’ve found that the http://flickr.com/groups/ wallpapers category has more than 21,000 images to choose from. Click the “sell all photos” link next to the Group Photo Pool tag.

You can then search by keyword. We looked for “Spokane” and “Seattle” related screen wallpapers. For Seattle we found nearly 200. For Spokane, zero.

Can someone please upload a high-resolution Spokane wallpaper image?

After all, we’re “Near Nature, Near Perfect,” aren’t we?
