Bicycles will be sent to Africa
If you have a bicycle you’re not using, Pedals2People will take it off your hands. The Spokane nonprofit is accepting adult bicycles of any size, shape or condition, for a special project it is doing with the Village Bike Project of Moscow, Idaho.
“About 95-percent of the bikes collected will be shipped to Africa,” said Ben Stuckart of Pedals2People. “The other 5 percent will be donated to local nonprofits.”
The Village Bike Project provides bicycles to Africans who have no other transportation. Mountain Gear headquarters in Spokane Valley will store the bicycles until they are ready to be shipped. If you are interested in donating a bicycle send an e-mail to pedals2people@gmail.com.
