Charlize Theron has an Oscar, a Golden Globe and a Screen Actors Guild award.

Now she’s Esquire magazine’s “sexiest woman alive.”

The issue featuring Theron hits newsstands Tuesday. Past winners include Jessica Biel, Angelina Jolie and Scarlett Johansson.

Theron talked with the magazine about growing up on a farm in South Africa, her political interests and her work, including her latest movie, “In the Valley of Elah,” a murder mystery set among U.S. troops newly returned from Iraq.

“I wanted to make the movie precisely because it evades formulas about guilt,” the 32-year-old actress said. “I’m drawn to ambiguity.”

Theron also candidly discussed her least favorite film, “Reindeer Games.”

“That was a bad, bad, bad movie,” she said. “But … I got to work with (director) John Frankenheimer. I wasn’t lying to myself – that’s why I did it.”

Theron won an Oscar for her role in “Monster.” Her screen credits also include “North Country” and “The Cider House Rules.”

Slumber party girl

Britney Spears has been awarded one overnight stay a week with her two young sons, with a court-appointed monitor watching.

The ruling followed a hearing Thursday in the pop singer’s custody dispute with ex-husband Kevin Federline. Federline was awarded temporary custody of 2-year-old Sean Preston and 1-year-old Jayden James because of concerns about Spears’ substance abuse.

It was not announced who the monitor would be. Spears’ attorney had asked the court to consider her mother, Lynne Spears.

Finding Mrs. Right

Drew Carey, who has a new job as host of “The Price is Right” beginning Monday, also has himself a new fiancé.

Carey, 49, got engaged to Nicole Jaracz, a recent culinary school graduate, this week.

It will be the first marriage for both.

Perp fiction

A former psychiatric patient accused of telling Uma Thurman that he’d kill himself if he saw her with another man has been indicted on stalking charges.

Jack Jordan was arrested outside Thurman’s home on Oct. 5.

Jordan allegedly sent the “Pulp Fiction” and “Kill Bill” star letters including a cartoon drawing of him walking on the edge of a razor blade, and Thurman digging a grave for him.

Walk in the park for Dogg

Snoop Dogg will do “everything from raking leaves to painting benches” in an Orange County, Calif. park as part of his sentence for carrying an illegal weapon in an airport.

The rapper, who recently was in Spokane filming a movie, was ordered to perform 160 hours of community service after a collapsible baton was found in his luggage last year. He said it was a prop for a video he was making.
