‘Religion notebook: Love and Respect’ marriage conference planned

Lakeside Church in Liberty Lake will host a video marriage conference next weekend based on the book “Love and Respect” by Emerson Eggerich. The book’s teachings, in turn, are based on Ephesians 5:33. The conference will be from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. next Saturday.

New pastor

Starr Road Baptist Church will welcome the Rev. Ben Trigsted during the 11 a.m. worship service Sunday. He was previously a youth minister in Corvallis, Ore. A reception will follow the service at the church, located at Wellesley Avenue and Starr Road.

Family night

The Episcopal Church of the Resurrection will host a night of bingo and pizza today beginning at 5 p.m. There will be $1 pizza slices, prizes and games for the whole family. Child care will be available. The public is welcome to attend. The church is at 15319 E. Eighth Ave.
