Valley Fire – Commissioners discussed a draft ambulance contract and draft interlocal agreement for countywide ambulance service. Chief Mike Thompson spoke about the proposed one-tenth of a percent public safety sales tax for a countywide communications system on the November ballot. Fire District 8 – There were public hearings on the proposed 2008 budget and levy certification for 2008. Commissioners discussed the draft countywide ambulance agreement. They also discussed making an agreement with AMR to move one of their stations to speed up response times in the district. An audit has been completed, but the results have not yet been released.
