Regional 4A

Where/When: Wandermere Golf Course, Saturday, girls, 12:30 p.m.; boys, 1:30.

At stake: Three teams, 15 individuals to state in each.

Outlook: The GSL will try to extend boys dominance which has included 19 straight State 4A titles. Mead (second in state last year), Central Valley (third) and Eisenhower boys are regional favorites. CV, Mead and Richland girls bid to return.

Top individuals: Kelly Lynch, Mead; Jayson Taylor, CV; Cody Van Debrake, Eisenhower. Andrea Nelson, Shadle Park; Sandra Martinez, Davis; Baylee Mires, Mead.

Regional 3A

Where/When: Wandermere Golf Course, Saturday, girls, noon; boys, 1 p.m.

At stake: Three teams, 15 individuals to state in each.

Outlook: Last year’s state champion, North Central, might be best team in any state classification. Mt. Spokane and Kamiakin give chase. Girls will be a tight race among Mt. Spokane (state runner-up), Hanford, Southridge, West Valley-Yakima and NC.

Top individuals: GSL had the first six finishers last year and all return (NC’s Andrew Kimpel, Leon Dean, Steve Hicks, Adam Tyler; Mt. Spokane’s Allan Schroeder and Trevin Goodrick); Lisa Olander and Stephanie Schuel, WV; Courtney Zalud, Mt. Spokane; Rachael Ballard, NC.

District 7 2A

Where/When: Fairways Golf Course, Friday, girls, 11:45 a.m., boys 1:15 p.m.

At stake: Three teams and top 15 individuals to state in each.

Outlook: Throw a blanket over West Valley (third in state), Colville and Cheney boys. Cheney, WV, Deer Park and state runner-up Riverside all have a chance in girls.

Top individuals: Jake Hastings and Justin Rose, Colville; Mitch Chandler, Riverside; Richard Keroack, WV. Chantel and Jessica Deunich, Deer Park; Krystal Hughes, WV; Stephanie Dye, Riverside, Kyle Miller, Cheney.

Regional 1A

Where/When: Chewelah Golf Course, today, girls 2 p.m., boys 2:45 p.m.

At stake: Four teams, 20 individuals to state in each.

Outlook: NEA had three of four boys qualifiers last year including state champion Lakeside (Nine Mile Falls) and Newport. Lakeside’s girls were lone qualifier and fifth in state.

Top individuals: Joey Ward and Swen Bergman, Newport; Kyle Johnson, Tim Welch, Kayloni Jones and Evangeline Rehwaldt, Lakeside.

District 7 B

Where/When: Fairways Golf Course, Friday, boys, 11 a.m., girls 12:30 p.m.

At stake: Two teams, 10 individuals to state in each.

Outlook: St. George’s and Reardan should dominate District 7 boys and girls.

Top individuals: Lisa Vandenburg, Northwest Christian; Katie Reidy and Maja Rodell, St. George’s. Jeff Pope, Valley Christian; Brian Angove, St. George’s; Matt Cronrath, Odessa.

District 9 B

Where/When: Pomeroy, today, 3:30 p.m.

At Stake: Two boys teams, 10 individuals; one girls team, five individuals to state.

Outlook: St. John-Endicott boys, Asotin girls lead the way.

Top individuals: Grant Fowler, Sigourney Gundy, Jessi Johnson, Asotin; David Fischer, St. John-Endicott.
