Acreage burned: 503,322.

Homes destroyed: At least 1,700, according to county authorities.

Deaths: Three confirmed fire deaths, seven fire-related deaths. Authorities investigating whether four charred bodies found east of San Diego on Thursday were victims of the Harris fire.

Injuries: 71 to firefighters, 27 to civilians.

People taking shelter in 22 evacuation centers as of 8 p.m. Friday: 2,882, according to the state Office of Emergency Services.

San Diego County

Witch fire: About 197,990 acres in northern San Diego County from Witch Creek to Rancho Santa Fe. 45 percent contained. 911 homes, 30 commercial properties, 175 outbuildings and 230 autos destroyed. Firefighting cost: $9 million. Two burned bodies found in a charred home.

Poomacha fire: 42,000 acres on the La Jolla Indian Reservation and in northeastern San Diego County. 35 percent contained. 78 homes and 19 outbuildings destroyed, 2,000 homes threatened and 14 firefighters injured. Cost: $1.7 million.

Horno/Ammo fire: 20,000 acres on Camp Pendleton Marine base. 80 percent contained.

Harris fire: 85,000 acres burned 70 miles southeast of San Diego and north of the border town of Tecate. 35 percent contained. 111 homes, 86 outbuildings, 120 autos and one commercial building destroyed. One killed; 21 civilians and 16 firefighters injured. Cost: $7.2 million.

Rice fire: 9,000 acres in Fallbrook. 60 percent contained. 206 homes, 40 outbuildings, 91 autos and two commercial properties destroyed; 200 homes threatened; three firefighters injured. Cost: $3.1 million.

Ventura County

Ranch fire: 58,401 acres in northern Los Angeles County and eastern Ventura County near Piru; 94 percent contained; one home, nine outbuildings destroyed; cost:

$8.7 million.

Orange County

Santiago fire: 27,600 acres east of Irvine. 35 percent contained. 14 homes destroyed. Cost:

$5.5 million.

San Bernardino

Slide fire: 13,700 acres in Green Valley Lake area of the San Bernardino Mountains; 20 percent contained; 200 homes destroyed ; cost: $4 million.

Grass Valley fire: 1,140 acres in Grass Valley area in the San Bernardino Mountains; 75 percent contained; 162 homes destroyed; cost: $3.1 million.
