The Spokesman-Review

Antique hounds and shabby-chic seekers: Mark your calendars for Sept. 22. That’s the date of The Vintage Barn’s Fall Antique Sale at 22277 N. Ramsey Road in Rathdrum.

Hours are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $3.

More than 30 vendors will offer cottage pieces, primitives, linens, painted furniture, salvaged finds, Western chandeliers, baked goods and more.

Booths will be scattered throughout the vintage farm buildings and under tents across the lawn.

A similar sale in July drew throngs of shoppers and Country Living Magazine, which is planning an upcoming feature.

Clean up at ‘Adopt-a-Crag’

There’s a new cause climbers can support. Volunteers in the “Adopt-a-Crag” movement will clean up trash, remove chalk marks and perform light trail work Sunday at Q’emiln Park. Activities begin at 8 a.m. If you’d like to join the detail, simply show up at the park. For information, call 769-7809.

Farragut

Take the dog on a field trip

Treat your dog to a field trip to Farragut State Park Sept. 23. Beginning at 9:30 a.m., you and Fido may join an annual dog walk and participate in a silent auction.

In addition, “microchipping” will available for only $10 per dog.

The cost to participate in the walk is $12 for individuals and $17 for families. Bring a snack, be sure to leash your dog and make certain your canine’s up to date on required vaccinations.

All proceeds will help pay for neutering cats and dogs in the area. Concerned People for Animals, a nonprofit volunteer group, is hosting the event.

For information, call Renee Abshere at 667-6382.

Coeur d’Alene
