Phillies 3, Mets 2 (10): At New York, pinch-hitter Greg Dobbs hit a sacrifice fly in the 10th inning and Philadelphia beat the Mets in the opener of a big weekend series.

Cubs 5, Cardinals 3: At St. Louis, Carlos Zambrano allowed four hits in eight innings, Cliff Floyd hit a tiebreaking homer in the seventh and Chicago beat the Cardinals.

Reds 6, Brewers 5: At Milwaukee, Brandon Phillips drove in three runs and Adam Dunn hit his 39th homer to lead Cincinnati to its fourth straight victory.

Padres 5, Giants 4 (10): At San Diego, Khalil Greene homered to left field with one out in the 10th inning to give the Padres a win over San Francisco.

Dodgers 7, Diamondbacks 4: At Los Angeles, Nomar Garciaparra’s solo homer highlighted a four-run fifth inning and the Dodgers rallied three times to get the victory over Arizona.

Pirates 4, Astros 3: At Houston, Jose Bautista hit a two-run homer and Ronny Paulino added a run-scoring single in the eighth inning as Pittsburgh rallied to beat the Astros.

Marlins 7, Rockies 6: At Denver, Jeremy Hermida drove in three runs and Dontrelle Willis won for the second time in his last 20 starts as last-place Florida dealt a blow to Colorado’s wild-card hopes.

Braves 8, Nationals 5 (13): At Washington, Jeff Francoeur’s bases-loaded single in the 13th inning drove in two runs and led Atlanta to a rain-soaked victory over the Nationals.
