Southeast Spokane County Fair starts Friday

The Southeast Spokane County Fair kicks off Friday in Rockford. The theme for this year’s fair is Harvest Memories, a look back on the days when sweat, backbone and farm ingenuity were essential ingredients to bringing in the fall crop. The three-day schedule of events is listed below:

Friday

Fair opens – 9 a.m.

Flag raising ceremony – noon

Carnival opens – 3 p.m.

Livestock judging – 4

Fitting and showing – follows judging

Poultry judging – 4

Rabbit judging – follows poultry judging

Exhibit building closes – 8

Saturday

Lions’ Club/Firefighters breakfast, Fire Station – 7-10 a.m.

Harvest Hustle fun run, line-up at Dave’s Auto Body – 7:45

Exhibit building opens – 9 Children’s Parade – 10:15

Grand parade – 10:30

Royalty introductions – Noon

Harvest Hoops 3-on-3 basketball – noon-6 p.m.

Kid’s games and races – 12:15

Rabbit and poultry fitting and showing – 12:30

Lions’ Club Bingo – All afternoon

Hannah and Abigail Christensen (fiddlers) – 1

Pie eating contest – 2

Variety show, Harvest Memories – 3 Dick Frost, magician – 4:30

Irish dancers – 6

Teen karaoke contest – 7

Exhibit building closes – 8

Sunday

Horse show, Ballpark – 9 a.m.

Exhibit building opens – 11

Community sorship service – 10:30

Lions’ Club Bingo – All afternoon

Harvest Hoops 3-on-3 basketball

Nick Reeves, singer – 12:30 p.m.

Angus Scott Pipe Band – 1

The Gospel Band – 2
