Equip your kitchen like the ones on TV

J.M. Hirsch Associated Press

It’s getting even easier to look – if not cook – like a television star.

This month both Martha Stewart and the Food Network partnered with major retailers to launch new kitchenware collections to help you equip your kitchens like the studio sets you drool over.

The Food Network is working with department store operator Kohl’s Corp. to promote its exclusive collection that includes skillets, bakeware, utensils, cutlery, even holiday patterned table settings.

Prices will range from $399.99 for a 10-piece stainless steel cookware set to less than $10 for some gadgets. Most of the items bear the network’s signature circular emblem.

Meanwhile, Stewart has teamed with Macy’s Inc., which has struggled with sluggish sales, in part because of competition from retailers such as Kohl’s. The massive Martha Stewart Collection includes kitchenware, as well as other home goods.

Items in the Stewart line include cast-iron and aluminum cookware, cutlery, cutting board, even spices and racks. Prices range from $3.99 for a set of 12 bag clips to $199 for a 12-piece cookware set.

Both lines include tips on the packaging. The Stewart kitchen tools, for example, are labeled “Must Haves” and “Have You Tried,” and include advice on when, how and why to use the product.

The Food Network gear offers “What the Pros Know” and “Why We Love It” pointers.
