“Kootenai Health has received a donation of 55 handmade dolls from the North Idaho Chapter of the Idaho Credit Union League and North Idaho Quilters Guild.

The dolls are clothed in miniature, handmade hospital gowns and will be used by hospital staff to help comfort young children and to explain medical procedures. The dolls will be presented along with colored markers to patients between the ages of 2 and 6.

“Dirne Community Health Center has been awarded a Statim 5000 autoclave for the dental clinic, donated by Coeur d’Alene Sunrise Rotary and Lakeland Sunrise Rotary clubs.

The new tool sterilization machine replaces a piece of equipment that was being used at the clinic since it opened last year. The autoclave was purchased with a Rotary District Simplified Grant.

“Lake City Playhouse in Coeur d’Alene recently received installation of a new irrigation system from local businesses who donated supplies and labor.

Local groups who donated to the effort are listed.
