Puckett leads Timberlake to win

Nick Puckett ran for 175 yards and scored three touchdowns to lead the Timberlake Tigers to a 55-12 Intermountain League win over the Priest River Spartans Friday at Priest River.

Puckett capped the scoring for the Tigers with an 85-yard kickoff return in the fourth quarter.

Josh Malloy added two rushing scores for Timberlake (4-1, 2-0), which outscored the Spartans (2-3, 1-1) 28-0 in the second quarter and led 34-6 at halftime.

Elsewhere in the IML, Bonners Ferry (1-4, 1-0) defeated host St. Maries (1-5, 0-2) 18-7.

Non-league

Lewiston (3-2) built a 19-0 halftime lead and cruised to a 33-13 win at Moscow. Anthony Williams had a touchdown reception and returned a kick 88 yards for another score to lead the Bears (1-4).

North Star League

Mike Martin passed for 140 yards and four touchdowns, leading Clark Fork to a 36-14 win over visiting Mullan. Austin Martin caught three of those touchdowns passes and ran for another score in the fourth quarter for the Wampus Cats (3-1, 1-0). John Coy rushed for two touchdowns to lead the Tigers (2-3, 0-2). … Elsewhere in the North Star League, Jake Hall ran for 218 yards on 24 carries and scored five total touchdowns as Kootenai routed visiting Wallace 54-14 in Harrison. Hall scored four rushing touchdowns and returned a kickoff 88 yards in the fourth quarter for another score. The Warriors (5-1, 2-0) outscored the Miners (4-1, 1-1) 42-14 in the second half.

Liberty quarterback Trever Anderson threw for 75 yards and two touchdowns, leading the Lancers to a 19-0 shutout of visiting Selkirk (2-2, 0-2). Josh Boleck opened the scoring for Liberty (4-0, 1-0) with a 60-yard touchdown run in the first quarter. Boleck finished with 70 yards on 18 carries. … In other league play, Isaiah Grant had 83 yards on 20 carries and scored a touchdown, leading Lind-Ritzville to a 26-10 win over visiting Davenport. The Broncos (3-1, 2-0) got it going in the second half, outscoring the Gorillas (1-4, 1-1) 18-7. … Jordan Hancock threw for 85 yards and three first-half touchdowns as Republic topped visiting Springdale 26-14. The Tigers (2-1, 1-1) jumped ahead early, outscoring the Chargers (0-4, 0-2) 20-0 in the first half.

Martin St. John ran for 103 yards on nine carries and scored three touchdowns, leading host Columbia to a 50-0 rout of Inchelium (1-3, 0-3) in Hunters. Ryan Keifer added a touchdown run and threw for another score for the Lions (5-0, 4-0). The game was called at halftime by the 45-point mercy rule. … In other league action, Jordan Hughes ran for 200 yards and four touchdowns, guiding Almira/Coulee-Hartline to a 54-26 win over visiting Pateros (2-3, 2-2).
