NEW FACES Paul Harrington has been hired as an associate at Lukins and Annis’ Coeur d’Alene office. He graduated from the University of Idaho School of Law. His practice will include real estate law, zoning and land use matters.

Bruce Nelson has been hired by Spokane County United Way as an account executive. He previously worked for Brown and Williamson Co.

Marcus Anderson has been hired by Unicep Packaging as general manager. He previously worked for Telect.

Coffman Engineers has hired Beverly Custer as an administrative assistant/accounts receivable. She previously worked for Steven Meek Architects.

North Idaho College has hired Evanlene Melting Tallow as the American Indian student adviser. She holds a degree in finance from Eastern Washington University and previously worked as a human resource specialist at the Healing Lodge of the Seven Nations.

Dia Maurer has been hired as executive director at Transitions, which runs programs benefiting low-income and homeless women. She previously worked for Itronix.

Debbie Smith has been hired as an account executive at Spokane County United Way. She previously worked for Merry Glen Home for the Disabled.

Greg Taylor has been hired as director of program management at Unicep Packaging in Sandpoint. He was previously the global program manager at Key Tronic Corp.

Paul Knight has been hired as director of research and technology at Telect. He previously worked at SprayCool and is a registered patent agent.

Norma Tillotson has been hired as an associate at Evans, Craven & Lackie. Her practice will include family law and insurance defense.

Inland Physical Therapy and Sports Rehab has hired Anna Anderson. She is a certified athletic trainer, and a certified strength and conditioning specialist.

PROMOTIONS Pete Bredeson has been promoted to partner at Wetzel & Wetzel. His practice includes municipal law, real estate, business and water law.

Paul Wadlow has been promoted to supervisor III, small volume parenteral, at HollisterStier Laboratories. He has been with the company three years.

James King has been promoted to partner at Evans, Craven & Lackie.

KUDOS Anne Anderson, co-owner of Lakeshore Realty, was recently named the 2007 Realtor of the Year by the Coeur d’Alene Association of Realtors. She is past president of the association and currently state director to the Idaho Association of Realtors.

The Triple Play Family Fun Park was recently awarded the Golden Token Award for the 2007 Best Community Service Project by the International Association for the Leisure and Entertainment Industry. The award recognized the “Home for Shasta” fundraiser in February.

Pip Printing and Document Services on Trent Avenue recently received a “Top 25” award for sales performance at the Pip annual convention in Denver. The center ranked 15th among Pip franchises worldwide.

Sacred Heart Medical Center and Children’s Hospital has received the Consumer Choice Award from the National Research Corp. for the 10th consecutive year. Winners were selected based on the results of a national survey of hospital consumers. The hospital is the only one in Eastern Washington to earn the award.

IMCO Recycling of Idaho in Post Falls is now a member of the U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program. The program recognizes small employers that implement, operate and continuously improve exemplary safety and health management services at the worksite.

APPOINTED Greg Bever has been appointed to a five-year term on the Community Colleges of Spokane’s board of trustees by Gov. Chris Gregoire. Bever is publisher of The Journal of Business.

Dr. Anders Merg has been appointed to a three-year term as a cancer liaison physician by the American College of Surgeons. Merg is director of oncology at Providence Cancer Center. He will lead Commission on Cancer initiatives at the center.

Michael Wilson of Spokane has been appointed to a three-year term on the Family Medicine Advisory Board by Gov. Chris Gregoire. He is president of Sacred Heart Medical Center. The board advises the University of Washington School of Medicine on implementation of educational programs in family medicine.
