Florida QB Tebow nabs Sullivan Award
NEW YORK – Tim Tebow, who won the 2007 Heisman Trophy, has added another marquee award to his collection.
The Florida quarterback was named the 2008 Sullivan Award winner in a ceremony Tuesday night at the New York Athletic Club.
The Sullivan Award is presented each year to the nation’s most outstanding amateur athlete in any sport.
Tebow is the fifth football player and third quarterback (FSU’s Charlie Ward, Tennessee’s Peyton Manning) to win the award.
