April 16 – Spokane City Forum, “What it Takes to Keep a Community Safe” with Spokane Police Chief Anne Kirkpatrick and Pat DeVries, president of Crime Stoppers of the Inland Northwest, 11:45 a.m., $10 includes lunch. April 16 – Remembrance for victims of all crimes during National Crime Victims’ Rights Week, April 13-19, 5:30 p.m., Spokane County commissioners hearing room, 1026 W. Broadway.

April 19 – The Exchange Club of Downtown Spokane will join members across the country for a “Believe in the Blue” child-abuse prevention event, 10 a.m.-noon, in front of Yoke’s Foods, 210 E. April 26 – America’s Kids Run, the world’s largest children’s running event for ages 5-12. All participants must pick up their race packets at the Spokane Convention Center trade show Friday, April 25, 3-8 p.m. For information, visit www.americaskidsrun.org.
