Cheney blotter

CHENEY – Police drew there guns April 1 and ordered three juveniles to lay on the ground after officers spotted what looked like a gun in the waistband of one of the suspect’s pants. It turned out the juveniles were playing with Airsoft guns – realistic-looking guns that shoot plastic BB-like projectiles.

Police were responding to a call of three people in dark clothing acting suspiciously in the 800 block of West First Street. When they were approached by officers, the three turned and walked away. That’s when one of the officers spotted the Airsoft gun, police Lt. Dave Mather said.
