Donny and Marie Osmond will help salute the nation’s moms as co-hosts of an NBC special scheduled for Mother’s Day night.

On “America’s Favorite Mom,” airing May 11 – which happens to be the centennial of the holiday – the Osmonds will crown a winner chosen online by viewer polling.

“When the concept was first presented to us – Donny and Marie on a Mother’s Day special – I thought, ‘Oh, everybody’s gonna need an insulin shot,’ ” Donny Osmond joked.

“But we’re not just talking about traditional moms. It shows real moms in real situations, and with some of them, you think: How do they do it?”

“They’re empowering for other women,” sister Marie added. “They inspire other mothers to say, ‘I’m not alone. I can get through this, too.’ “

In addition to their co-hosting duties, the siblings also will do a musical number during the program.

“Marie picked out the song,” Donny said.

“It was a mutual decision,” she argued.

So what’s the song going to be?

“I don’t know,” Marie teased.

Checking in with Hilton

Gossip maven Perez Hilton will be dishing it up on the airwaves as well as in cyberspace.

The celebrity blogger, whose real name is Mario Lavandeira, will be the star of twice-daily, three-minute “Radio Perez” spots that debut May 5 in major markets.

A film featuring Hilton is due out this summer, and a book by him is in the works.

Not-so-sweet tooth

Former Miss Nevada Katie Rees, who lost her title after racy photos of her appeared online, pleaded no contest to five misdemeanor traffic violations Wednesday in return for resisting arrest charges being dropped.

But Rees says she’s considering filing a federal claim against two Las Vegas police officers she claims broke her front tooth by slamming her against the hood of her car during her arrest Feb. 6.

Her lawyer said Rees didn’t know her license and registration were suspended when she went to buy ice cream at about 3 a.m.

Guess they grew apart

Mary-Louise Parker has broken off her engagement to fellow “Weeds” actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan.

Morgan, who plays the deceased husband of Parker’s character, began dating her in 2006. They briefly split last June, but reconciled.

Bareback in the saddle

“Harry Potter” star Daniel Radcliffe will make his Broadway debut as a disturbed stable boy in “Equus” in September.

Radcliffe, 18, earned rave reviews for his performance in the play’s London production – and much media attention for appearing nude.
