Filing your taxes?

If you waited this long to file your tax return, you have three options.

Regular post offices remain open in Spokane and North Idaho until about 5 p.m. Postal clerks will make final pickups at blue-marked USPS collection boxes by 6 or 6:30 p.m. (or by 7 p.m. in the case of the one at 150 E. Second Ave., Spokane).

Your second choice is to take your return to one of five automated postal centers, which are inside the entry areas of the following post offices: 111 N. 7th St., Coeur d’Alene; 105 N. Greensferry Road, Post Falls; 11712 E. Sprague Ave., Spokane Valley; and 6325 N. Monroe St. or 1903 W. Garland Ave. in Spokane.

Those unmanned centers operate around the clock; with a credit or debit card, taxpayers can print out a label and mail a return before midnight at those sites.

As a last resort, take the return and drop it off, before midnight, at the USPS processing plant at 2928 S. Spotted Road, near Spokane Airport.
