Braves 6, Mets 3: At New York, Jair Jurrjens walked three consecutive batters with the bases loaded in the third inning, then got his first major league hit to help Atlanta beat the Mets.

Astros 3, Cardinals 2: At St. Louis, Carlos Lee’s home run capped a three-run, ninth-inning rally off Jason Isringhausen, helping Houston secure the victory over the Cardinals.

Phillies 6, Pirates 5: At Pittsburgh, Chris Coste had three hits and three RBIs, and Philadelphia’s bullpen pitched more than five innings of effective relief in a win over the Pirates.

Nationals 5, Cubs 3: At Washington, Wil Nieves hit his first major league homer, a two-run shot in the ninth inning, to give the Nationals a victory over Chicago.

Marlins 3, Brewers 0 (10): At Milwaukee, Wes Helms’ fielder’s choice with the bases loaded in the top of the 10th inning helped Florida to victory over the Brewers.

Diamondbacks 5, Padres 1: At San Diego, Randy Johnson got his first victory since having back surgery in August, leading Arizona to victory over San Diego.

Giants 3, Reds 1: At San Francisco, Jonathan Sanchez pitched into the ninth and matched his career high with 10 strikeouts, outdueling Cincinnati ace Aaron Harang to lead the Giants to victory.

Rockies 8, Dodgers 7 (13): At Los Angeles, Russell Martin went 4 for 4 and drove in the winning run with a sacrifice fly in the 13th inning to help the Dodgers beat Colorado.
