Wang (5-0) allowed four hits and struck out a season-high nine.

Rays 3, Red Sox 0: At St. Petersburg, Fla., James Shields threw a two-hitter for his first career shutout, Evan Longoria homered and Tampa Bay beat Boston to complete a three-game sweep and win its sixth straight, matching its longest streak since a six-game run in 2005.

Hitting just .197 with three homers coming in, Konerko connected leading off the bottom of the second and the sixth.

Angels 6, Tigers 2: At Detroit, Torii Hunter hit an RBI triple in the fourth inning and added a two-run double in a four-run sixth to help chase Justin Verlander, lifting Los Angeles to a win over the Tigers.
