Silverwood raises admission prices

From staff reports

Silverwood Theme Park and Boulder Beach Water Park has raised admission prices midseason.

It now costs $41 to get into the North Idaho attraction, an increase of $4. For children ages 3 to 7 and seniors 65 and older, the price rose $2, to $22.

The increases, which took effect July 24, reflect higher labor costs as well as park expansion and upgrades, spokesman Mark Robitaille said.

Also July 24, the federal minimum wage rose to $6.55 an hour – a 70-cent increase in Idaho.

Silverwood, north of Coeur d’Alene along U.S. Highway 95, this year added the Aftershock roller coaster, which opened July 21, and a new sewage treatment plant.

The price of a two-day pass rose $6, to $65, and a two-day pass for children and seniors went up $3, to $35.

Season pass rates did not change. A season pass is $130 for an individual or $350 for an individual and two guests.

Silverwood offers discounts on admission through Costco stores and coupons through Subway and Pepsi promotions.
