RiverHawks edged in extra frame

BREMERTON, Wash. – Brian Heere’s double off Mike Richard with one out in the 10th inning put him in position to score the winning run after Doug Buser’s single and the Kitsap Bluejackets outlasted the Spokane RiverHawks 3-2 on Sunday.

Kitsap struck first with designated hitter Max Kwan’s homer off RiverHawks starter Aaron Guinn in the fifth inning.

In the eighth, reliever Zach Miller hit Spokane’s Kyle Krustangel with the based loaded to score Aaron Headrick. Miller then walked Rob Folsom to score Travis Fox.

Shane Colbert tied it in the bottom of the ninth with a single off Spokane’s Bryce Bowell to score Buser from third.
