Backpack trip to Glacier

NIC’s Outdoor Pursuits is offering a backpacking trip to Glacier National Park next Saturday through Sept. 1.

Cost is $80 and includes transportation and park fees. Space is limited.

The Coeur d’Alene Symphony Orchestra will hold a free concert Sept. 1 at the Coeur d’Alene City Park at 1 p.m.

Talented musicians including Jim Phillips, Todd Robinson and Mateusz Wolski also will be a part of the afternoon performance.

Participants are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets to the concert.
