Web sites show his geek chic sensibilities

We asked Olsen to offer up his current Web favorites. Here’s that list:

Geeksugar – http://www.geeksugar.com . The best geek chic site made by anybody ever. Guys should be secure enough in their masculinity to get past that the blog’s target audience is ladies.

Gorilla vs. Bear – http:// gorillavsbear.blogspot.com. Kinda like music site Stereogum, but a lot less lame. Also has a Polaroid section, so you know they’re hip.

MetroSpokane – http:// metrospokane.typepad.com. My primary source for local urban development musings.

Pop Candy – http://blogs. usatoday.com/popcandy. Probably the most up-to-date pop culture blog and podcast out there. It has more news about the “90210” remake than any other site on the Web.

Zune Insider – http:// www.zuneinsider.com . Even if you don’t own a Zune (and you don’t) you have to enjoy this desperate attempt by Microsoft to be hip through both a blog and a podcast. Serves as a good reminder why you use an iPod.

Olsen is a Spokane resident and chief Pooh-Bah behind Web site iluvspokane.com. You can also see Remi’s co-hosted podcast Spokaneownsy ou at the same site.
