Students unaware of threats

The student whose alleged threats against classmates resulted in a lockdown Wednesday at Centennial Middle School in Spokane Valley was not arrested because the classmates were unaware of the threats and didn’t fear for their safety. A brief in Thursday’s Northwest section contained an incomplete explanation of the decision not to arrest the boy.

Chiefs player misidentified

Seth Compton, of the Spokane Chiefs, was misidentified in a photo caption in Thursday’s Sports section, because of a photographer’s error.

Toffee recipe incorrect

The Poor Man’s Toffee recipe in Wednesday’s Food section should be made with 1 teaspoon of baking powder, not baking soda. The ingredient was listed incorrectly because of a reporter’s error.

Choral concert set for today

The Eastern Washington University choral concert will take place today at 7:30 p.m. at St. John’s Cathedral, 12th and Grand Blvd. The date was listed incorrectly in Thursday’s Today section.
