TACOMA – Peter Nguyen rushed for 152 yards and a touchdown, and Bellevue (14-0) raced to a 28-0 halftime lead en route to a 35-6 win over Union of Vancouver (13-1) in the State 3A title game Saturday night at the Tacoma Dome.

It was Bellevue’s sixth state title this decade. Bellevue rolled to TDs on its first four possessions and never gave the Titans a chance.

Lynden 35, Prosser 34 (2OT): The Lions (12-2) pulled off a furious comeback by scoring twice in the final 1:31 of regulation to force overtime, then beating the Mustangs (13-1) in double OT in the title game.

David Gaylord scored on a 1-yard run in the second OT and Joel Brown’s extra point gave Lynden a 35-28 lead. Moments later, Prosser quarterback Jordan Durbin hit Kirby Moore on a 10-yard TD pass to pull the Mustangs within one. Prosser went for the two-point conversion, but Durbin was pressured and his desperation pass into the end zone was knocked down.
