Detectives arrest Millwood shooting suspect

Spokane County sheriff’s detectives have arrested a suspect and the victim in a drive-by shooting last month in Millwood.

Detectives and SWAT team officers raided a pair of residences early today in east Spokane County.

They jailed a 32-year-old man, Jeffrey S. Schroeder, for investigation of the shooting, after detectives found a pistol in his home.

No one was injured Nov. 29 when shots were apparently fired from the street at the home of a 53-year-old man, Danny Woodbury.

He allowed deputies into his home to look for evidence, and one of them tripped over a rifle. Woodbury was arrested because he’s felon and not allowed to have guns. He was released and re-arrested today on a fugitive warrant from Kootenai County.
