Crusaders rally past Eagles

Jessica Dahm buried a 3-pointer with 15 seconds remaining in the game and the Northwest Christian Crusaders held off the visiting Lakeside (Nine Mile Falls) Eagles 46-45 in non-league action Saturday night.

Bryanna Bailey led the Crusaders (3-1) with 15 points, while Colbi Neal added 12 points. Dahm scored 11.

Lexie Zappone paced the Eagles (4-1) with 14 points. Leslie Stillar added 10 points.

The game was tied at 18 at the half. Lakeside opened up a 32-28 lead heading into the final quarter.

Other non-league

Coeur d’Alene 67, Eastmont 43: Sophomore post Carli Rosenthal dominated both ends of the floor and finished with a double-double to propel the Vikings (8-2) to a victory over the Wildcats in East Wenatchee, Wash.

Rosenthal had game highs of 20 points and 15 rebounds for the Vikings, who jumped out to a 22-13 first-quarter lead and never looked back. Whitney Heleker added 13 points, Dayna Drager scored 12 and Natalie Stewart handed out nine assists for Coeur d’Alene.

Post Falls 56, Ellensburg 47: Katelyn Loper had 20 points and eight rebounds to propel the Trojans (1-0) over the visiting Bulldogs. Aynslee Stuart added 10 points, six rebounds, four assists and three steals for PF.

Nicole Prigge topped Ellensburg with 17 points.

Lakeside (Plummer) 58, Mullan 31: Ruth Brunelle tallied 24 points, eight steals and four blocked shots to spark the Knights (5-1) to a victory over the Tigers (1-9) in the championship game of the St. Regis tournament in St. Regis, Mont.

Hannah Donnerberg led Lakeside with 14 rebounds. Britany Walsh paced Mullan with 12 points and 17 rebounds.

Almira/Coulee-Hartline 49, Kittitas 38: Sarah Gloyn hit three second-quarter 3-pointers on her way to 18 points and Nikki Osborne chipped in with 16 points and seven rebounds to guide the Warriors (3-0) past the visiting Coyotes.

Kayvonne Vaver led Kittitas with 14 points. Madeline Isaak also reached double figures for ACH with 12 points.

Chewelah 44, Valley Christian 41: Kara Dawson poured in 15 points on five 3-pointers – including the game-winner with 2 seconds left in the game – to carry the Cougars (1-3) to a road win over the Panthers (0-3).

Valley Christian’s Katie Worley led all scorers with 16 points.

Lewiston 47, Pullman 41: Savannah Blinn tossed in 13 points and Jessica Kramer scored 10 to help the Bengals (7-2) turn back the visiting Greyhounds (2-1).

Jordan Levenseller and Shelby Cheslek each scored 10 to lead Pullman.

Lewiston led 25-20 at halftime, but scored just two points in the third quarter to help the Greyhounds knot the score at 27 heading into the final period.

Panorama League

St. George’s 47, Springdale 36: Lena Leverett-Standal tossed in 15 points, Lizzie McQuade scored 13 and Molly O’Brien added 12 points to lead the Dragons (2-2, 1-0) to a victory over the host Chargers (3-1, 0-1).

Kelsey Fitzgerald and Shelbea Rainbolt each scored 12 to lead Springdale.

The Chargers made 1 of 11 shots from the floor in the first quarter and trailed 11-3.

Selkirk 62, Republic 42: Maria Villegas had 17 points and Annemarie Cain scored 12 to send the Rangers (3-3, 1-0) past the host Tigers (1-4, 0-1). Sarah Chapman added 10 points for Selkirk.

Tori Orestad was the only Tiger to reach double figures with 17 points. The Rangers seized control of the game by outscoring Republic 18-3 in the first quarter.

District 9 North

Pomeroy 42, LaCrosse-Washtucna 40: Kaci Uto piled up 22 points to account for more than half of her team’s offense and the visiting Pirates (1-1, 1-0) held off the Tigercats (0-1, 0-1) in a league opener.

Della Flemming scored 12 to pace L-W, which trailed 9-2 after one quarter before bouncing back to lead 18-13 at the half.

Postponements

Panorama League games Curlew at Wellpinit and Inchelium at Northport were postponed and will be made up Jan. 3. Columbia at St. Michael’s was postponed with no makeup date announced.

Other games postponed with no makeup date announced were: Touchet at St. John-Endicott, Moscow at Bonners Ferry, Soap Lake at Odessa, Rosalia at Tri-Cities Prep, Colton at Sprague-Harrington, Priest River at Kellogg.
