Braves lose in overtime

Miles Houston scored with 37 seconds remaining in overtime to give the Nelson Leafs a 7-6 win over the Spokane Braves on Sunday at Eagles Ice-A-Rena.

Chase Wharton, Jacob Walsh and Alex Lelwica each scored twice for the Braves. Spokane’s Connor Olstad had four assists, and Joel Stewart and Dylan Tappe each added two.

The Leafs battled back after falling behind 3-0 halfway through the first period.
