The Christmas Bureau at the Spokane fairgrounds, where families in need receive a food voucher, toys and candy, won’t open today at all.
Theresa Dryden of Catholic Charities Spokane, who oversees the bureau, said it’s likely the first time in the bureau’s 50-year history that the bureau has closed due to snow.
“I don’t want volunteers – or recipients – to travel out here today, Dryden said.
